In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
As-salamu ʿalaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Dear Community,
We pray this message finds you and your families in the best of health and iman.
The Day of ‘Arafah will be on Tuesday 26th May, and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated at MCC on Friday, Wednesday 27th May, 2026 in sha' Allah.
MCC will be offering four Eid prayers at the following times:
These first ten days of Dhu'l-Hijjah are among the most beloved days to Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” (Reported by al-Bukhari)
We encourage everyone to take advantage of this sacred time through prayer, fasting, charity, and remembrance of Allah.
Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Muslim Community,
As we enter the blessed first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, we are gifted with an exceptional opportunity. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” During these precious days, we are called to strengthen our faith and increase in good deeds.
I encourage each of us to engage in fasting, especially on the Day of Arafah; to increase in charity; to recite and reflect upon the Qur’an; to seek Allah’s forgiveness; and to remember Him frequently through takbir, tahlil, tahmid, and tasbih. I would also like to remind everyone of the great virtue and importance of offering qurbani (the Eid sacrifice) for those who are able.
Let us remember that every act of worship during these blessed days is greatly rewarded. May we strive to draw closer to Allah, strengthen our unity, and be a source of light and goodness within our community.
Wishing you all a blessed and fruitful Eid Al-Adha.
With sincere du’as,
Imam Mohammed Abdullahi
